My name is Chancellor D. Mills, graduate student at VanderCook College of Music of Chicago, Illinois. I am conducting a survey as part of my Master’s Project to explore recruiting methods of African-American band programs.
The survey involves general questions about regarding the demographics of your school and techniques that are currently being used to acquire new members. The purpose of this study is to address issues that affect annual recruiting and create a surplus of ideas to be shared among directors.
