Talk to the director as a whole band and let him know how yall feel and what yall want as a whole band...that's what my school band did when we wanted to change our fight song. And do u know that if your school participates in parades...yall will get paid...
Our band in HS had a huge event every year that showcased all of the instrumental groups and even some groups that the students themselves put together.
The students/parents would bring food and desserts for everyone in the audience at the end.
The whole event can be ticketed for 10 bucks a person
