  • Roy Lee, this thing is a game changer unless a vaccine can be developed before too long. Money has stopped flowing and will stop flowing to a lot of places that are not prepared for it. Professional sports is a prime example, and then there’s college football, Broadway, the church collection plate, movie theaters, concert halls, restaurants... The list is long.

PWIs and HBCUs will have to adapt in order to survive. Just one year of diminished cash flow can rock even the strongest institution if tuition, room and board, and student fees drop too much. Unless a vaccine can be found soon, culture as we know it will change drastically. Will be tough for many and good for some (e,g., tech companies that offer digital platforms.

The forecast is cloudy not just for HBCUs,

  • Band Wise, HBCU's are still auditioning students, I think the fall will be very odd and just "Not Normal"
    I don't see any HBCU's closing though.
