In my high school band 90% of the males in the band complain like some h*es. When I say the dudes complain more than the girls I REALLY MEAN IT! 100% pure b*tch*ssness. It really gets on my nerves man because they suppose to be tougher than the girls! Is there anyway to get rid of this cancer?

Lead by example is the only way...
that kinda stuff is somewhat of a home-training issue, and its gonna be hard to break, but if a solid group of young men who have their head on straight and get the job done without complaining do it in a manner that makes the punks say "wow that was impressive" then it starts there.
yall gotta put strong STUDENT leaders in good positions to influence the rest of the band. Well, the directors do...
You can't force one to lead, that's the problem in many programs.
thats why i was like they needed a SOLID GROUP
aint no way in sam-h3ll will any ONE person turn a program around. lol. it takes a collective effort from everyone

I have never understood in leadership training before you actually pick your leaders, a band director should know his leaders by simply watching how they carry themselves and their influences of others be it male or female.
