Might as well hear it from me instead of anyone else.

On yesterday Dr. Lewis crooked hat Lidell was hired as the Chair Person of the Department of Music at THE Alabama State University. In all Seriousness i wish him well at Tullibody. I Don't know his record for running an entire music Dept.  So i'll stay tuned.  Note this has no effect on The MMH staff who are all still alumni of the school and band.

    Did I understand u right wen u wrote that Dr. Liddell (formerly of the Sonic Boom of The South) is now the dept head of music at ASU? If so, congratz to ASU. Always gud to hav a dept head that understands the dynamics of wat it takes to hav a successful program n the SWAC.

    yep. Smart man. Retirement from Mississippi check from Alabama. I'm intrested to see the direction he takes the department in.

    ASU has ben on the come up for quite sumtime now. I expect to c great things from this program n the very near future.

    yea i think with Lidell being a former band director of a swac band that this becomes a win for us. Considering the alternative i'm actually real happy about it. Still not sure if he is over the entire department of performing arts though because i keep hearing people call him dean.  I'm pretty sure that the dean is still Dr.Toni Stewart and that some of my bretheren may not be aware that they combined the school of music and whatever the theater college's proper name was a few years back.

    @ J Grows uncertain but not mad. truthfully i'm happy to see some color in that office.

    Yeah...diversity throughout the music dept is always a win for the students.
