Congratulations to the Purple Marching Machine of Miles College for being invited to perform the Atlanta Falcons v Chicago Bears halftime show this Sunday(October 12, 2014). Since its establishment in 1996, the Purple Marching Machine has performed in the 2002 Mary's Day Thanksgiving Day Parade. "This staff has worked hard to bring this program to its present state. We were all excited to get the call from the falcons representative; and we look forward to representing the band, this school, and all hbcu programs during this event", stated by James N. Merriweather, director of bands of Miles College. Jimmie Small, a sophomore in the Purple Marching Machine from Augusta, GA, stated that he is excited, and that he is ready to "show out" for his home state. We have an opportunity to show world what this band can really do, and we will capitalize.This game will take place in Atlanta GA (Georgia Dome) at 4pm est. Again, Congratulations to the Purple Marching Machine of Miles College.
