It is official the PV vs. TSU football game has been moved to Delmar Stadium. The Average attendance for the Labor Day Classic is 25,000. Delmar's capacity is 12,000. This has to be the dumbest decision in the history of stupidity. This game will be 2009 SWAC CHAMPS VS. the 2010 SWAC CHAMPS..... Come on athletics we got to do better!!!!!!

      • Where is the game usually held at?
        • Reliant
          • Honestly bruh, that might be the reason for the move. Since the game only attracts 25,000 fans per year compared to a stadium that seats 71,500 fans, the venue is losing money. Approximately 35% of the seats are being utilized but the sponsors have to pay for 71,500. It is unfortunate that the new location only accommodates 12,000 fans. Hopefully, the sponsors will see the need for a different location pending attendance this year.
            • Since 2003 we have played in Reliant outside of the regular NFL game and the Houston Bowl game the Labor Day CLassic is one of the football games at Reliant. The move is bad for both schools !!!!

      • u do know there are WAY more stadiums in houston than that...

i know they dont want to go to UofH and ask to use robertson......they should try to make a deal wit rice to use rice stadium..

        • and some of those numbers look wrong...especially if u got them from where i think u got them
        • I read on a sports board that Texas Southern can't play at U of H. Robertson is actually available that weekend.
  • The Astrodome seats 65,000, I think.  But it's in mothballs now.  The last time it was used for anything was to house Katrina victims.
