  • The jumbo java is very nice, also the selmer c star. Both help produce better tone. You can't go wrong between the two.
  • i too suggest Selmer C* i bought one for both my alto n barii and i get a nice tone. if your looking for that plus a lil more power. go with Selmer C* Soloist, my homeboy found one and you can have a nice tone with some power behind it.

i have one for tenor thats a Bundy, idk the model but it gives me a smoothing tone, i use it more for concert selections or solos. but i say the one you might get or the C*'s....but i regularly use a 3mm tip sized metal mouthpieces for both alto n tenor. offbrand though but its the off brand model of Yamaha's
  • I sugest you go with the C, it's tone is "off of the chain". My MP of choice by far.
  • Hard rubber jody jazz. It can be used in all bands and produces a nice tone
