  • Heard Bama state brought "freaky girl" back
  • I'll give my honest opinion. SU put it down during the game. I don't think I've ever seen SU strike so many blows on a band coming off the field. S*&%t got real after halftime. ASU moved from sitting in the far endzone to directly in front of SU. Both bands started throwing blows like a heavy weight fight. SU carried momentum with their football team coming from behind to win. Despite only playing 4 tunes during the 5th, it was very entertaining. ASU took the crowd following the Holy Grail battle. I give SU the overall W for the entire game, but ASU took a respectable L. Both bands brought their A game!
  • I cant wait for the clips!!
  • I would not say ASU took an L at all today. ASU sounded off quite nicely seated in the endzone and when ASU moved across from SU they really turned the heat up. The fifth was just an all around great battle. However I think the 3 and 4 quarters were the real battle periods throughout the game cause both bands turned up and ASU's Freaky Gurl and R.A.F. were very powerful and clean in my opinion. Big ups to both bands.
  • Also ASU Halftime drill was awesome
  • Both bands did good ASU good job being way more cleaner than previously years you guys for some reason sound better around that size instead of having over 250 plus! W goes to SU better arrangements but ASU  much props!

  • ASU -vs- SU should official be called the "Wattage Classic" LOL
  • You Can't beat SU throwing blow for blow with them! ASU was ok at best but mostly hyped by their home crowd more than anything, and the best part of their band was the trombone section everything else was mediocre. SU did what SU does and until somebody slaps them in the mouth they will continuously be the top band in the SWAC.. SU arrangements clearly set them apart from everyone else..

  • Here we go... "Beyond" was the only standout arrangement from SU. I'm not saying everything else wasn't good, but ASU was still right there. I think Haymer is a beast, but there are other beast in the SWAC that out dual him in arranging some songs. SU just knows how to sell the arrangement better than others. There were plenty of bandheads from both schools and even some from other schools at this game as well so it was more than ASU fans hyping it up. Away from power and consistency during the game, nothing else stood out about Southern.
