  • Well if you want a more power sound, and a good lower register you need a bigger mouthpiece. By bigger i mean a mouthpiece with a deeper cup. But just make sure you have a well developed embouchure, because if dont you'll have a hard time adjusting to a bigger mouthpiece. Check out Mike Finn Mouthpieces. Those are really nice. But there's not any brand thats the best. You just have to find what works for you.

  • A BACH OR SCHILKE BETTER KNOWN AS BIG BOYS OR FAT BOYS

  • BUT REALLY JUST PRACTICE ON DROPPIN UR JAW

  • What's your skill level?

  • "Aint" no short cuts around hard work. You're not gonna find a mouthpiece thats gonna magically give you a lower register. I tried to do that when i started, made the mistake of trading my Helleburg for a Loud Mouthpiece. It took me LONGER to just get a strong embrochure. Anyways, if you want a stronger lower register, you gotta get it by...........wait for it.................... PRACTICE.

  • I play on a helleburg. But also our tubas is gold in fiberglass that can be the problem too huh??
