For some reason, it seems like every time I go to an HBCU game Somebody tries to cut through a bands line or while their in the stands and causes a conflict. Last Saturday I was at a Tennessee State game, three girls wanted to sit in front of the band where the sophisticated ladies sit. When they were nicely asked to move, they started mouthing off and cussing tryna fight (Being Ignorant). Then the band had to talk to them like they were uncivilized thugs on the street. They still were tryna fight and act crazy Finally the security was called. Yesterday at the SHC If Im not mistaking It was a small conflict with somebody tryna cut through JSU in the stands...Really Im glad bands handle these situations with a non violent response But really...Wheres The Respect ??? We've all heard of those situation where the Band will attack you or run over you if you cut through, these people are lucky most bands are disciplined.

i see where you are coming from. Sat by PV last night at their game and people i knew from my old high school were trying to cut through the trombones n drumline to reach the other side....smh
but now let me go back to my last football game in high school....we just lost in the 3rd round in the playoffs at Baylor stadium...we pissed n want to go home...marching out the stadium, a parent from the opposing team didnt like that we were marching out in the direction that we were because his car was just on the other side of the band...so he tried to cut through my section, not gonn work, cnets...nope not again, the flutes...this guy ran at full speed to cut across the flute section n ended up knocking one of our flute players on her back HARD. lets just say he got arrested after my dad and my BD(who is only 5'2) got on his ass. he is serving 5 years for abusing a young girl whom was also in the opposing team's band which if we would have won, it woulda made more sence...but this guy couldnt wait for an 80 piece marching band to take a few minutes to get to the bus then he could get to his car.....but to understand another reason why he is serving that much time, he did have a small amount of illegal products in his sock?? idk why...buty eah...the guy was like 6'6 and three times the size of the flute player he basically ran over.
I CAN NOT STAND THESE TYPES OF PEOPLE!!!! They are all IGNORENT little f***heads!!!!
Omg Glad I wasn't there I wouldve took my Baritone and went upside his head with that one....These girls that tried to argue with TNSU really pissed me off they thought they were the ish and nobody could tell em what to do They tried to fight the clarinet section smh
Respect? People don't have respect for themselves yet alone bands. I fully understand where you are coming from though. I remember someone "attempted" to cut through the "100" during the rattler and was poked in the eye.
The bands need to buy a roll of that "DO NOT CROSS" tape or rope off the band area... Im sure some bands have some left over police tape hanging around lol. But fans go through sections, crossing people all the time. Cant go around crucifying people for crossing through an unmarked restricted area if they dont know.
