Whoeva woudve got the band doe, after Big Jeff left n 03 wouldve ben gud fo atleast 3 years off the strength of jus being dere. Waz sum strong playaz dere n mos were really yung. The band at that point was autonomous.

All that talent and energy the born had. Yea it kind of went down a lil after big smith left but the students that were still there were gettin better on their instruments and it showed. But u have to give alot of credit to the students for makin osborn what is was even when big smith was there, especially during the times of 99 and 03..they made that band. Smith may have brought them the swac style but them students took it to another level. I member when the born came out in 97 and got smashed by spain....fast forward to fall of 01 and they became the number 1 band in the D. but like so many other great Detroit bands r.i.p. Osborn
Oh wow. To his credit the band still maintained their persona in the city and out of state, still received superior ratings in festival and solo and ensemble. We were a self maintained band tho, style, field shows, arrangements ect. Pissed that they were really about to evolve to something even more crucial right when it was all over, its a shame at what has become of the dps system.
Can u say that Coz waz to b credited for those associations or jus n the right place at the right time? Not to take anything away frm Coz but I honestly believe that Magic Johnson couldve ben the director n the aforementioned wouldve ben the same.
