I am a student currently enrolled at Mississippi Valley State, I am a junior and march in the band program. We are currently hard on the recruitment trail and need hard working individuals with pride and respect for our prestigious institution. The program consists of Marching band, Concert symphonic, pep and jazz ensembles. You do not have to be a music major to march with the band nor does being a music or non music major inhibit scholarship in any way. We do have students whom are of different majors and such that are in the program and are all on scholarship. Here is tuition and financial info

Let me also state that we are a NON-HAZING program...let me say this again...NON-HAZING. It is and will not be tolerated. We believe in students who decide to join, once you sign the scholarship you are apart of the family and as such you will be treated accordingly. We do however expect for members to respect chain of command such as section leader, drummajor, director and rehearsal etc. We are about business. We do have plenty of fun on trips and such but we do handle our business. We do not believe in having lengthy rehearsals such as other programs would do. We feel that as a STUDENT, that is what you are first and foremost a STUDENT. We do not believe in forsaking your education. With that being said you are a student first.
