ohhh ok. yeah i have heard the same, I'm bout to go out and buy the Meyer 5 MP for my alto, I don't use plastic or hard rubber mouthpieces on my tenor, never felt confertable so i just used metal MP's, gives me a fantastic tone!!!
Comment by Saxrebel on October 8, 2009 at 11:36am
Thanks... I do long tones, and I know all my major scales... mainly need help on my minor scales(all three types), and jazz and bebop scales... I heard about the C*... I've been recommended to get it before... I guess I'll go for that... What about jazz mouthpieces... I hear Meyer 5 and 7 are pretty good...

THS (towers highs school) section leader '09 bt yeah i found a copy of giant steps nt to long ago bt all it has id the basic stuff and then all the chord progressions .

hmmmm i suggest a Selmer C* SOLOIST Mouthpiece, this mouthpiece is probably the most used MP and suggested by many directors and musicians. and try doing Long tones on all your major scales. Memorizing your scales makes reading music easier!
