i do see your point but ultimately that BOTB is about one thing.. And its not Bands... ITS MONEY!!! thats why a step show was also incorporated into it... To get more people to come out.... They have to pay for that venue(the superdome) every year..…
Concert and Symphonic bands were not the first to play these compositions.. Just like alot of corps style bands play symphonic compositions while doing formations on the field..
hmmm... i know in high school we play 6 marches... and sounded better than "S"ome colleges i know that play them...

There are no set number of lip slurs. You don't have to play them out of a book. You can freestyle and make up your own.
