Where exactly did this guy find a mellophone mute? I've been looking for one for some years. I didn't think that they even made those. Actually if anybody knows let me know. Lol.
yes an educated mello playa but to help yu have more endurance yu shuld use low lip slurs and dude its called an omniture and was dat song yu played survivor
Yall strait... but yall need to work on frazing... make it longer try not to chop it up so much.. and quit doin these whack endings... its lame yall need to stop.. lol but yeah yall cool keep up the hard work
The high part is the lip slur (No valves). The low part is just to make it longer. You can play it with or without the low part.
There are no set number of lip slurs. You don't have to play them out of a book. You can freestyle and make up your own.
Yeah I know, horn is the most difficult brass instrument to me. It's definitely only for those who are dedicated to their instrument and take time out of their day to perfect themselves.
Keep doing what you are doing though, you sound good and give good advice.
I do not extensively play the horn, although I have experimented around with it when I was trying to find "my" instrument. My main is now euphonium/baritone with a bit of trombone for jazz.
I ask because I respect those who can play mello AND the double horn because I know it's not terribly easy to do either of the two, and even worse switching between mouthpieces.
And also your video was very informative, you should post more videos like that in the future.
