THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR ANYONE WHO IS STILL UNSURE OF POST GRADUATION PLANS OR WANTS TO BECOME PART OF A REWARDING MUSIC PROGRAM.

2) SOME MARCHING BAND EXPERIENCE.
3) BASIC SIGHT READING SKILLS
4) KNOWLEDGE OF BASIC MUSIC FUNDAMENTALS
*Major Scales
*Chromatic Scales
*Prepared Piece - Solo
*Sightreading
*Percussionists-Call Director for more info.
5) WILLINGNESS TO BRING MUSICIANSHIP AND DISCIPLINE TO THE PROGRAM.
6) DEDICATION, HEART, POSITIVE ATTITUDE, AND HARD WORK
7) NORMAL PHYSICAL AGILITY AND CONDITIONS OF HEALTH (MARCHING BAND).
8) ATTITUDES OF COOPERATION AND WILLINGNESS TO MEASURE UP TO THE FULL POTENTIALS OF ABILITY
9) SATISFACTORY ACHIEVEMENT IN OTHER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES.
10) RESPECT FOR LEADERSHIP OF STUDENT OFFICERS.

JOIN US IN A 4 YEAR DEDICATION INTO MAKING MVSU MARCHING BAND A HISTORICAL LIVING LEGEND LIKE THE OTHER HBCU BANDS OF TODAY. WE ALSO WELCOME JAZZ, SYMPHONIC, TRAP SET, GUITAR, SECONDARY PERCUSSIONIST, PIANO AND OTHER ENSEMBLE COMBOS.
