  • Praying for the best!

  • The jsettes got the most fickle fans i have ever seen in my life. I don't even read the comments on youtube anymore because most of the people created those account to tear down Morgan at every turn.  Morgan was not herself at this game.  She was not smiling like she usually smile and she just seemed down.  You don't go from bucking us down like this

to what she gave this game.  She didnt seem herself.  I am no longer going to read the comments on youtube though.  I don't mind criticism but when your only purpose is to tear one person down is where i draw the line.  Go read the comments under the Who Do I Turn To video.  They didnt have anything negative to say about Morgan so they praised everybody but her.  They have turned Cip into the best dancer that ever marched into that stadium.  She is a wonderful dancer but Jewel out danced everybody on that squad last year.

Sorry for the rant but those comments on youtube are getting ridiculous

  • They really are.  Like they're acting like it's the actual football season right now.  It's a mess...and Morgan is going through something it seems based off of her social media.

  • Not sure about Brie either.  LOL, just give it to Jaz and and let her be the next 2- year and pick up where Dom's legacy left off.

The YouTube comments are a bit inflammatory however, some of the criticisms are sad truths. I am not one for omitting praise in my criticism. I love Morgan as a dancer, not as captain. She’s a very well-balanced J-sette. Her style is very similar to Morgan Jackson’s. She’s a beautiful blend of grace & fire with the prudence of knowing what to give and when to give it—and can deliver. She’s logical and functional in the background, not so much the foreground. Retrospectively, she appeared to be uncomfortable, unsure, nervous, thinking too hard, & in her head majority of the season. This does not discount those really great moments. The overall response to her captain reign has been fair. Captains are praised when they excel & they are criticized when they do not. Criticisms commonly will include how they became captain, their preparation time for becoming captain, other competitors for captain, or excessive praise for competitors. Morgan received much praise at the BOTB against SU & the Alcorn game. She had moments but, holistically, this season was not a great one and I’m inclined to believe that it could have gone better with another captain, just my quiet thoughts. As a coach, you have to be team-centered & intentional when selecting leaders. If your decision is unequivocally not team-centered, you will face ramifications and backlash – this is where we are.

The praise for Jewel and Cip are not bothersome for me because they have graciously and beautifully blossomed as J-settes. The “no one was even checking for Cip back in the day” rhetoric may be true however, the J-sette that she and Jewel are today are not the same from 2013. Their glow-up has been a delight to watch for me personally as well as Kristen’s.

Overall, I hope Morgan is better prepared this upcoming season, assuming she will be captain again. And if she does not feel prepared enough, it’s ok to prioritize your sanity and relinquish the position to someone else. Honestly, I’d like to see Brie up front for the ’17 season.

  • Please go back and watch other games because Morgan was excellent this season.  Valley, BOTB, Alabama State, and Alcorn were the standout performances but she was excellent at the others at well.  The jsette fans let criticism form their opinion.  When Tiara was captain she was terrible according to the criticism.  Everything she did was bad but now people are calling for her to replace Chloe.  They are praising the field work that she did now but talked about it when the season was going on because she was not their choice for captain.  That is the same thing that happened to Charlotte.  She was dogged out 80% of her first season and now she is legendary in their eyes.  I don't mind criticism if it is fair criticism.  Don't bring someone down just because she wasn't your choice for captain.  Making claims like Morgan was only chosen because she was friends with Chloe like they know this as fact.

  • I kinda agree with 80 % of whats being said, however, the way some people are saying it is harsh. Yes I agree cip should've been captain this year. Every year theres some type of captain controversy. If Diamond was in the running last year, and Dominique got it over her, we would've seen the same outcome of Morgan J and Bianca. But Dominique Slayed. I just hope that Morgan gets her squad ready for this season, and be more Firm with them. Chloe... no words.

  • This year made it clear that leadership is the problem.

Granted, last year Dom had a much smaller squad to wrangle, but for the most part she had them in check.

This year, with a much larger squad, there was a GLARING issue with discipline. They simply weren't together or on one accord, and I think a lot of that had to do with not only the captain selection being made so late or the individual who was selected, but also Chloe's hand not being as firm as it could / should have been. We NEVER would've seen what we saw from this squad under Worthy. NEVER. So many girls would have been pulled and sat down so quick.....

  • True, it was also obvious drama from the girls. I never seen so mean stares, and glares and nasty facial towards each other. Looking in, it looked like a lot of it happened when CIP lead. I don't know why? But I do know that morgan is cool with all the girls from 13 and 14. Also, these basketball games you can see the tension.
