Beasting PWCs

Was on facebook and a friend of mine showed me this video and I started thinking, what PWC would come to a game and really give our HBCUs a challenge with a real battle. Post a video to back up your statements. This should be interesting.

    UAPB played against them in 08 they were pretty cool in the stands

    Oh word? Those are the type of matchups we as HBCU Bandsmen should be looking forward to, destroying the PWC world.

    our form of "destroying" is either looked at as "getting crunk" or "playing really loud"....you can't really destroy something of a different style.....

    unless they try and play hip-hop, R&B, soul, or pop tunes at you then go ham lol

    or if your band plays corps style tunes. it works both ways.

    Lmao, true isht, but we have songs in our books that are very traditional, like at A&T we play Children of Sanchez and Return to Tattooine, Malaguena or something like that. Hell we could throw marches at them anything to show that we are more than just shaking our butts in the stands. I remember when I went to SU High School band camp Mr. Knighten over heard us comparing SU to other premier HBCU bands and his point of view was that he wasn't satisfied until he could be recognized by the white folks, when people started comparing his band to the LSUs or Ohio States or the Blue Devils or the Madison Scouts then he might think about relaxing. Conversation changed my point of view on what we do and how we go by doing it forever.
