Its something I've always thought about but if you take the 6 major band states: Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, North Carolina and Louisiana, who would really have the best band in whole............... I'd make my case for Alabama and Mississippi Great HBCU's and not that bad PWI's either but id give the edge to Alabama think about it : AAMU, ASU, Tuskeege, Talladega, Miles, Alabama and Auburn that would be madness vs Mississippi: JSU, Alcorn state, valley, mississippi state, concordia and ole miss

I could agree although i think for pure musicianship Id flip AAMU and ASU but Louisiana is an interesting state tho but its really just SU and GSU and LSU..... so id go BAMA, MISS, LOUIS

I honestly didnt rank any of the bands.... just numbered them... because i would def put Alabama St, Jacksonville & Auburn before Talladega, Tuskegee, and miles but um ASU hornets still #1 in Alabama due to consistency, power, battles, stingettes, football and the overall scheme of things then AAMU... AAMU has alot of catching up to do and I hope they can.... but right now Talladega & Miles would shut AAMU down

whats amazing to me, two things North Carolina is a sneaky good state only because NCATand WSSU but When u think about Georgia and especially Atlanta with all the hip hop and rappers its hard to believe there is no power band and it could be huge and bigger than some PWI's but the best band from georgia is on a movie lol Atlanta A&T maybe Morris Brown when they were good size....
