Two weeks ago, a high school senior came to me saying he was coming to JSU next fall. He said he was coming to crank on everybody in the section LOL!!! Why are these incoming seniors so cocky?

Better watch that type. This FAMU situation are really going to create problems. Even if you look at some of these peeps their parents are going to try to sue.

It's usually a way to boost their confidence and can actually work for the better. If he says he's gonna come in being the best, and (naturally) the college players are better than him, he's gonna work that much harder. Now if the cockiness keeps on once he gets there, its not hard to keep a crab in check lol
Pretty much. These the type of cats that TRY to come in and do what ever in the hell they want to do. I see these types on the high school level. Then when you tell them something they crying and the parents are out for blood. Cats like that DESTROY band programs..if you let them.

I know this probably has nothing to do with the exact situation, but alot of the times current members of a band could be geeking up the incoming kids. That happened to me, but I'm not the cocky type at all. But yeah.. it could sometimes be the current members geeking these kids up.
thats why they are called crabs......they do and say stupid shit....they dont know any better....lol....thats why i say the movie drumline was an abomination
sometime freshman are actually better than most of the upper classman.... i know said i was better than the upperclassmen when i was going to JSU... with that being said, when i got in that bandroom i kept my mouth shut and played my part....
