Dallas Snare Drummers HS

I know we have alot of good snare drummers in the Dallas area and I know that a number of you who possess the knowledge and skills to be the best snare drummer you can be. I would like to know who would like to enhance their snare drum abilities. This provides a different level of competition between our schools. Dallas is known for heavy bottoms (bass/ tenors), but i would like to see Dallas become more technical and phunky on the snare drum. I know time and place is an issue but before we can do that i want feedback on who would like to have practice sessions and chop sessions and let me know what you would like to learn and also work on....for those who dont play the snare and want to learn the doors will be open to you as well. But yall get at me and let me know whats up and what u think? And it doesnt matter what school you go to or where you plan on going because it will help you get to that next step. I believe in sharing over all knowledge of the drum.

    i go to carter i know the basic 40 and all that backwards and forwards but i want to know more hybrids.yes i would like lessons

    I know 40 of the rudiments and right now i practice cheeses

    Thats great you are supposed to know the first 40 before you leave hs and really before that. But its good that you guys would like to upgrade on the drum.....lol The HYBRIDS are just made up of the first 40....for instance a CHOO CHOO is a paradiddle with the flam on the 3rd note.....a DUCHUDA is a combination of a triplet with a flam on the 2nd note...you guys should be asking your directors to let you guys come and practice on Saturdays or any days that they will allow you guys to work out when they are available to open the band hall.....i dont mind teaching anyone so get all of friends that want to do this and we can have good sessions to where everyone can learn something different....but im glad that some of you have the heart and drive to want to get better....keep the questions coming....
