Watching this thing on live over facebook.If you're watching (or have watched) what are your thoughts. What I see was expected. that's all I can say…

TxSU got it, but we expected that. FAMU played the same songs, but sounded great. TxSU had the better book and was blowing.

I'm impressed with what TxSU did. Trumpets and mellos need more help but the btones and tubas were blowing but stayed in pocket. Trombones seemed like they beefed up. Only gripe was Liberian Girl. Besides that, it was good.

overall FAMU sounded great but hella boring. TxSU brought the heat as we expected.

Wait till you see the stand clips you'll see they are bigger than last year. Brass section is 2010 with more trumpets and baritones . Only section that took a hit was piccolos and Mello's. You can't pull a 200 piece band out of no where, freshman class was a great size , and the old heads that came back added to that foundation.

A solid 160 is fine for this year, now that there's a solid base - there's something that can be built off of and due to band camp and people coming late there's a few more bodies that will be performing this upcoming weekend for LDC weekend.

Get off the gas with the - we need numbers, everyone is bigger. The band is finally moving in a direction where it is actually building on to something instead of replacing what's left or not coming back.
