Hear that? THIS is what Genesis is SUPPOSED to sound like. I don't know WHAT happened between then and now, but recent executions of Genesis have done the fanfare no justice IMHO. You know Imma be HYPER CRITICAL and extremely meticulous about my own band.What's up Storm? Care to discuss?

PV, jus like plenty other bands, has evoveld its sound and is still working on building it... We all know that its gonna take a lil while before they get back to that state but that's the case for every band thats rebuilding... Don't take this convo or any convo personal bruh... jus listen, learn and grow...

It ain't personal. I'm just trying to see what he means. I've done my marching and every single aspect you could musically do at a college for a non music major. I have my issues with new school but the entire SWAC isn't THAT much subpar compared to the past. I critique hard but saying never? Idk about that. IMHO a lot of what the young Ocean is doing now is much better from what was forced on us when I marched. Vice versa at Alcorn and I was the last of the 90's. I can admit that.

I see... So do you think with the direction that both schools are heading will eventually evolve back to the late 80's?
I know that a far fetch but whew, I can jus imagine that Ol' Ocean bringin that pain from the endzone!!!!

Pv.....yeah. Ocean...no, at least not on the field. I see them marching like the Old Ocean but the drill sequence, horn carriage, percussion section's style and choice of cadence- there are sme missing that some old OLDheads would have to come back and teach, and the blocked band set up, etc. That Ocean is gone. The only way the core of that Ocean could come back is if someone brought it back and used it. The sound is great though and they LOOK so much better. But real talk, no. And I had relatives in that old band too. Pv still has a core of what ade them who they are. It's like longevity with your favorite artist. You like Maxwell because he's distinct.
