Shaw is an Underdog band who's risen on their own in an area where there was no competition. so to come to N.O and take out the band perceived to be the Best in our city was a great deal for Shaw. The Underdog showed that they have not only the Skill, but the heart to step up.. They remind me of Baker who was once a Decent Band.. then lost a director and became small small but stood their gound and is now a big dawg band once again.
Louisiana bands are doing exactly what needs to be done to make Bands more competitive.. throwing Schools like Shaw as well as the Memphis, Texas & Missisippi bands in our midst makes competition factor even greater.

i said this before but its no insult intended..there are certain power house bands in my eyes who dont do well squared up against another band..they tend to overblow and throw everything out the window that made them a 1st place band on the field. some of yall list are flawed...undefeated at battle of the bands but you get tossed up and sound nasty in the stands and when battling isnt a good look.Big dogs at the top of the list gettin outplayed(cleaness, Tone quality) by a bands yall list as 7-10 something not right #imjustsayin
