Is it me?

Or was Kayla Pittman the most respected by the Directors, crew, etc when it came to her march in/outs?

I just saw a video of the Dolls marching out and Taylor(Director) was all in the middle of them and even gave someone a hand shake on the side right in front of one of the Dolls as they were strutting.

When Danni lead it would be similar in there would be instances where people would be walking in the way of them marching in/out.

I didn't see all of that when Kayla lead. I could have missed a few videos possibly, but from what I'd see the coast would be pretty clear.

I think all the distractions is messing them up a bit these days.

  • It seems like more people in the way and all because the dolls are gaining lots of attention than before.
lets be honest, during KP's reign, the dolls blew up in popularity. Some people (especially leaders in the org) don't know how to handle it PERIOD. The most they could come up with is that they have to stop the dolls from becoming "big-heads" or being "too big."

smh these directors... idk when this attitude of deliberately making it seem like the dolls ain't shit to them came from. lol if not for dolls, i would vaguely KNOW OF the jukebox, i wouldn't know so much ABOUT them like i do, or even be checking for them. I know band culture is hella strict, but the dolls ought to be cherished by the organization. at the very least, the directors shouldn't go out of their way to be so rude to them.
seems like they feel threatened, or maybe they just don't like being around empowered women...women who know they got it like that...especially in the age of social media, where everyone is letting them know; they got it like that...LMFAO

I mean, the attitude of the leaders in the org has been getting worse! I don't hold it against any of the crabs that have quit in recent years. The first time i felt like dang it's getting out of hand was this game. watch from 5:19 how Brian wanted to pass, but Dannie kept dancing...watch how he snapped at her when the song was over. she looked like she was about to cry at 5:29.....

To your point, although most of us know KP is a sweetheart, she had such a commanding presence and power about her.....even if the directors felt a way about her or her influence, he/they wouldn't dare be like that to her face. and that's FACTSSSS.

  • Brian was cheering her on. Lmao. I was at the game, boo.

  • Thanks, never saw that before. It's hard to make out what's going on but Danny didnt seem happy about whatever he said, however I can be reading too much into it.

Kayla did seem sweet, but its very interesting that none of that stuff seemed to go on. I wonder how she was able to be sweet and assertive, as I'm assuming that's how her personality was. Its like she was given the spotlight to shine, and not saying the others are not. It just seems like they were more respectful of the Dolls during that time.

  • HOW DOES KAYLA P. manage to be sweet and assertive at the same time?
this is what came to mind....

self-respect, and knowing what she stands for.
oh and yes of course; a LOVE for people.

leadership requires a person knowing who they are and what they are about.
her leadership is stellar and powerful because these all these aspects remained consistent no matter who was in front of her.

for whatever reason, people compromise themselves on these aspects more than they should.

P.s the spotlight is not something that's merely given, one has to TAKE IT.
ever heard of "take the spotlight"? yeah.....
it requires both being BOLD and being CAPABLE.

  • How about y’all shut up at times and stop assuming shit? Haymer told KP something every single time they parched in and out. The directors give the the Ques to slow down or speed up as well.Taylor probably was up there Giving Akai, who y’all also complain about even tho it’s clear she’s clearing the way to protect the young ladies, a hand.

  • She has experience competing in beauty pageants, as well, if I'm not incorrect. The young lady was a leader, she wasn't just a captain. I think her leadership qualities go unnoticed.

  • yall have absolutely NO idea what yall talking about? and KP being more respected than Dannie? Yet, some of yall claim the DIRECTORS suspended KP...and the DIRECTORS told the girls not to use KP's counts.....and Dannie was given the greenlight to almost change the entire look of the Dolls, ...but NOW, KP is the most respected? Yall need to make up yall minds.

And PS, I was at the game. Brian was just crunk. He has done that to dancers many times before, even at parades. Now, I dont think Dannie liked it... lol. But it was all in fun and trying to stir up the energy of the band. Crazy how people can develop a whole narrative behind a lie. smh

  • I’m so glad to see the double dip be thrown!!!! My dreams finally came true.
