Both bands sounded good but TxSU took it by a long shot... I loved the video tributes to Prof. Edwards by both bands @ halftime... OMG, Nija did tha big girl swagg surfin thing... Ya'll know I love bbws... LOL.. Tha Motion shut down tha Black Foxes... TxSU Drummers shut down PV drummers but I got tired of tha drum battles... Tha tuba battle was pretty even to me...
Ummm.... Honestly I don't want to give L's. both bands were good. but if I had to here is my opinion of both and why
PVAMU:
Very Intense sound, packing some real heat this year.Trumpets need a lil work, B-Tones Beasting. Started out good on the field but show started to lose energy after the Foxes. BTW Foxes looked real good. In the stands, you guys were pushing Heat! Yes, you all were louder than TxSU and it didn't sound bad at all. OMG, I think it was that Fox Sports Fanfare? Almost knocked me out of my seat..D@MN! Seriously, if you all can build on your book and step it up just a lil on the arrangements you all could easily return to being a top tie SWAC band as opposed to middle of the pack.
TxSU:
All I have to say is Balance, Book and Arrangements. The Sound has surpassed 2005 in terms of Balance and Quality and yes the Power is still there, and the Book has Surpassed the famous 2006 Ocean. Arrangements are not to be played with. Honestly, if you all were as good on the field as you were in the stands you all would be comfortably competing for #1 or 2 in the SWAC. But the field show needs work. Granted it was the first game but you guys usually get better on the field as the season progresses. Motion Tore it up, hands down one of the best lines in the SWAC. The key for TxSU going forward is Sound CONSISTENCY and field show improvement. If you all can bring what you brought in the sound department against PV the rest of the Season "and" improve on the field, It could get real interesting at the top of the SWAC.
Not that it matters who was louder. I mean I give the overall edge to TxSU, but PV's peak volume was louder. Perhaps the argument could be made that it was mainly on rap tunes that PV was louder while TxSU mostly played full songs. Come to think about it, outside of Neck and June 27th TxSU did not play any rap tunes in the stands unless you count that Twista Joint.

I must say that both bands brought it but of course TSU takes the "W"....AGAIN lol But really, both bands did there thing in the stands nd on the field. LMFAO at TSU's big gurl doin her thang. But big up to Gib and Gordan for doin it big. But I jus wanna kno'....why iz it that TSU played most of there songs in the stands while PV played a couple until the end to actually play some more? Hmmmmmmmmmm................lol
I don't know... I actually felt bad for PV late in the 3rd when TxSU ran off about 4-5 full songs in a row. Looks like PV was trying to hold off until the 5th and we all know that Reliant kicks you out after about one song so I didn't understand that by PV.
