Why when yall come to Alexandria Mardi Gras Parade yall never battle each other? I mean come on, its GSU and SU in da same city!? at da same event!?. Please give us a lil pre parade bayou classic type warm up or sumtin.

Before the parade they feed the bands and battling is not on our mind once food is in the stomach lol. After the long parade people are to tired: the only thing on GSU's mind after the parade is to go eat, but mostly get home and start the Mardi Gras break. Maybe if they give both bands more money there could be a little mini Bayou Battle but until then, we will parade on. LOL
What is it with these bands and food? Maybe if the band was "that bad" then I would rather eat than waste my time....iono
That's just me. I love battling. When I was in high school and college (band) all "they" wanted to do was eat. smh It really burns me up. When we would go to any parade (N.O. parades included), all we wanted to do was battle.
I aint gon lie tho, GSU yall be giving the people what they want, playing tht old school and dancing. But me I like SU, cause they come thru wit tht precision strait blowin, no laughing,smiling,or nothing.

c young cat what u don't understand is when u r in college food is like gold and its sometimes hard to come by so when u get the opportunity to eat a descent meal u hop on it and u could care less what else is goin on.i will guarantee u that if any band especially us had to choose between a buffet and a battle u would never get a 5th from us lmao!!!!!!!!!!!
