Sonic Boom Assistant Band Director vacancy

The Jackson State University "Sonic Boom of the South" is currently seeking to hire an Assistant Band Director whose main responsibility will be to serve as chief arranger for the marching band. Other band related duties and responsibilities will be assigned by the Director of Bands. Teaching assignments will be aligned with the needs of the Department of Music in accordance with the candidate's expertise, experience and interest. A Masters Degree in Music is required. A Doctorate in Music is preferred.     Jsu..  .Mr. Travis Prewitt should have this position.  He is very talented , disciplined & a awesome arranger.

    I wouldn't mind seeing Prewitt on staff, but he doesn't have the required credentials right now. It really doesn't matter if he's on staff or not because the boom is still gonna play his arrangements. (waiting on that Partition!!!)

    At SU required credentials doesn't matter its all about the talent. SU just hired a recent under grad as an Assistant BD so Travis Prewitt def can be Assistant BD / chief arranger

    If the boom hire someone other than Travis Prewitt...they gotta be a arranging god...because prewitt can write his azz off!!!     Taylor know bout travis....forget credentials... travis got talent.     Doc. Taylor is a awesome arranger....haymer ain't got nun on this guy....I wish he would write again...I like his arranging style....he is badd!!!!
