    1. Just looking at the past 3 years, I think you can make some educated guesses to answer the size question. It all depends on recruiting and how many people last for the length of the season.

    2. It would depend on preference. One person may say that every band after 1997 was better than them, while another may say something different. It will depends on how the specific person evaluates the different bands.
