SU Dancing Dolls Fan Fest

New Doll thread as the other one has gotten really long as well....enjoy!!

    Not bad for a first performance, still see a few things they need to clean up, and the girl on the back row close to the tail looks sort of awkward on some movements.Also they need to make sure they are paying attention for count changes, but overall not bad all of it could be first performance jitters.

    Linkford is my underrated Doll.... Linkford form is always on point.

    Yea Melody does look a little awkward doing some of the counts.. She is from up north I don't think the school she danced for had doll background so she is learning everything lol.. Unlike the other girls whom high schools pretty much mimicked the dolls. I'm sure she will be good come first game.. But I must say my favorite crab doll so far is Miss. Jordan that short pretty girl was murking the Ace spot!!! I lived.. Of course this was fan fest so the dolls were gonna do old counts.. I can't wait to see these new counts

    Yes she is from Ohio I think and I also think she comes from a cheerleading background as well as a studio dancer let see her field work and how she improves stands after the first few games before you all roast her

    I still cant believe they chose that uniform either.

    Vets- The vets came in looking good. Something about Connor's form looks better here, Kayla was Kayla, and D. Linkford was D. Linkford. I think the most refreshing vet of them all has to be Ms. Stamper. She has continually improved on her overall presentation and she's becoming a favorite of mine aside from D.Linkford. I'm stunned to see Maya in the tail spot, I hope she does it justice. She looks good back there however I'm not sure if it's just me but the newbie standing next to her appears to be taller and it has always bothered me when the tallest member isn't the tail. It looks so awkward just as it did in 2008 when Brittany Beal was tail but Sequita was CLEARLY the tallest girl on the squad and needed to be in the tail spot. 

    Newcomers- The most memorable is definitely the ace. Great energy and form! The rest of the newcomers did considerably well also, she was just a standout for me and I know she will definitely do the ace spot justice. That's how you do it! *coughs Beatriz* LOL JK. 

     

    Overall look- I will agree with some of the posters from the previous thread. This is evidently a casual and low profile event.. Why pull out one of your best uniforms? You put on nude jazz shoes and underwhelming, uninspiring, basic make up with THAT uniform? Their look would have better corresponded to spandex shorts, sports bra with the Dolls name on it, and the white tennis shoes. I am glad that they're smiling more but just as they're doing it for now during preseason events, it'll eventually fade as it did last season. KP doesn't seem to be much of a smiler..

     

    I have a good feeling this line will do a fine job!

    Ugh I really thought the Dolls was going to use that uniform for the first game. I notice ever since Dtara reign the Dolls have started to wear uniforms on fan day because back in the day the Dolls would wear a Doll tank top with tights and the white high top Reeboks.

    I'm going to say this when Kayla's reign as captain is over I wouldn't be surprised if Stamper might have that captain spot on lock. She looked really good out there and I was focused on her the whole time. She gave me that Seaera energy but with a little bit of D'Tara flair. And that ace was serving big time. And the crab next to Maya hopefully will learn the catch ons. I believe her nerves probably got the best of her but I'm sure she will get by the first game. Overall I just want to see how these ladies collectively work on the field together. I'm impressed so far but still this is a long season and hopefully the best is yet to come.

    Stamper surprised me too. She definitely grew since her crab year. It was all sass and no games played from her.
