Well its bout that time again, folks. Believe it or not, this is a highly anticipated match-up of these 2 SWAC heavyweights. Its goin down once again in Robinson Stadium!!!This is a band forum, but I, myself, am slightly more anxious to see the outcome of the football game. Texas Southern is entering Robinson on a win streak, and victory is in their eyes. Coming off a controversial loss, the G-Men seek retribution against the fighting tigers of Texas Southern. This is sure to be a competitive event for the ages folks!The World Famed, in its 2009 season, faces much adversity. The roller-coaster effect on their performance has landed the program at the bottom of most of the [speculative] band rankings. Many do believe that the World Famed hasn't forgotten the threat that is the Ocean of Soul, and many fans and supporters can only hope that the Tiger Marching Band will bring a fierce competition to one of the most competitive programs in the SWAC. Many have an appreciation for what the World Famed offers in their unique and exciting halftime shows, and that same number are anxious that their all-around performance will outshine that of the Ocean's.The Ocean of Soul, even with their smaller numbers, have had a pretty solid season. Even when the odds were against them in the form of Jackson State's Sonic Boom of the South, it seems like nothing can stop the fire that drives the Ocean of Soul. A truly crowd pleasing program, how will they fare in Robinson Stadium this Thursday night? The Ocean is known to pull out all the stops against Grambling, so one can only wait anxiously to see what that may be...
