I was disappointed with BTW. They praised themselves for the first 2 minutes and didn't do too well.

i hate how our houston bands are declining and it seems like nobody even cares at the top!!! i'm out here in austin, and this past football season i haven't seen 1 band under 75!!! wth!!! i'm sitting there looking at those bands and scratching my head like... why can't houston bands thrive like this.. of course i know that answer but im just saying...

Man them Louisiana Bands were kicking us all in the ass man. Westbury was the only Houston Band that placed. I'm really concerned about the state of our bands in the Houston area for real. Check out the clip when McKinley, East Feliciana and Istrouma combined OMG.
Permalink Reply by Goldy_1914 on January 22, 2013 at 8:22am Man I dont even know where to begin. At the conclusion of this Battle of the Bands, the stadium was basically taken over by out of town bands. All you saw was us Houston schools going to the bus. Then I looked at the clips of the other Battle of the Bands and people are talking about it like it was a joke. Im not liking how Houston bands are being looked at now and that statement includes my own band.
Is it us directors not doing something? Is it the students not caring?
Is it that the Greater Houston area communities just dont care about band anymore?
Whats really going on out here?
Im frustrated.
