Why don't some people like Drummers?

What do YOU have against Drummers?
No harm meant against Drummers....and please no Dummers.
Drumline - Typically "balls for brains", they are truly convincedthat they are the perfect form of man. They practice constantly, andare known for being very hardcore. You can usually tell them apart fromnormal humans by the constant tapping emitting from any ligament ontheir body. Band members and drummers find it hard to discuss music, asdrummers usually don't even notice the band is playing (usually becausethe band is never watching the drum major). The drumline IS the tempo,as they are they only ones capable of holding on to it. With that beingsaid, they have the worst relationship with the drum major, as theyblame the tempo tears on the DM and believe that the tempo they set isthe right tempo and everyone else is too slow. Do not mistake them forabnormal though; they do have emotions and are human (for the mostpart). A rare breed of these obnoxious creatures are "female drummers".They are known for their abnormal behavior around other human beings andhaving just as large an ego as the male of the species. wikipedia.org

    first i think we should tell what is the difference between a dummer and an percussionist this is a percussionist:

    notice how he is not just concerned with " Choppin on da snare" he can play multiple instruments effectively fulfilling his purpose for his band


    this is a dummer :

    notice how his only concern in hitting the drums with all his might. a dummer might respond to this picture with " Oh he choppin though"


    now with me being an ex dummer i can say, the thing i dislike with drummers is the ignorance. comments such as " naw nigga we dont blow nothing around here" or " man get that blowing shit out of here" or " people only look/ listen for the drumline". if you have ever said either one of those comments or something to the same extent

    cause most of the time they think they the most fye but they be the ones messin up the band, speedin up the song, not doing the right rolloffs

    but they can "chop" tho.....smh......lol

    IDK what bands yall play for but i have never met anyone who dislikes drummers to this extent.. I, being a drummer, have never heard those comments nor said them myself. If anything we encourage the band to blow... If your band hates drummers that much that might be why you get bad results because yall don't have chemistry.

    I dont like DRUMMERS

    i have no problem with PERCUSSIONIST

    its a difference.
    percussionist can play more than the instrument that they march on.
    they can read music
    drummers are satisfied with the instrument that they know and most of the time, they arent that goof at that one!

    and if i did play the drums, i wouldnt dare be called a drummer.

    idk bout the misspellings I AINT SPELL CHECK! so i dont care! lol
    i do like our percussion because they can read music, we dont half ass.
    and if you are arranging means you can read music. i respect that. but like i said, if i put in the work, dont call me something that is below me which is what a "drummer" is. any fool can beat a drum and be called a drummer, but it takes work to be called a percussionist. so dont let anyone belittle you and you dont even know it

    and yeah BRASS IS STILL KING OF THE BAND! lol

    F.Y.Ithe pople dont look for the brass, they look for the drumline(where im at), well actually the look for the band period. Hell if our band didnt show up to any of the games last year we would have lost every game and would have had 0 attenedance.


    P.S. You may have noticed a lot of words have been misspelled. The reason they are misspelled is because, the internet has made me very very very lazy.

    From the things you have just said, you are not the type of drummer or percussionist (call it what you want) that falls into the category of the type I'm talking about in this topic. This topic is toward the people who don't like drummers.
