  • the more the merrier. i love white people

  • I feel it’s a good thing because it exposes our white family to our rich history and traditions it also gives them an opportunity to see black people in a positive light and it teaches us all how to positively co-exist which is important because in the real world this is something you will have to do on the daily.

  • see, thats how i feel. its good to know about all different cultures, customs, styles, etc.  because you encounter all of it when you go into the "real world"

I just wanted to know how people felt on this subject, considering i will fit this description in 2 years.
  • I never thought it mattered. and its slick racist to me to think any different of someone who is white being in a HBCU band.

  • Great reply Frat!

Come to AAMU and you will see that we all get along and have real love for each other no matter the race and background. You will also see this in our Greek, band, and sports family also.

  • I dont really care, my section leader last year was a white boy and he was the the coolest one out there lol he attends Albany State now lol ..... I <3 White Ppl

  • I'm all for it. Like Mitchell said, it brings exposure to different cultures of how another culture acts in a positive setting. They can learn life lessons that you won't learn at a PWC, and yes I am speaking from experience. If the school has the major that the child wants, I say to the Caucasian student go ahead and attend the HBCU. It's an experience you WONT get ANYWHERE else, trust me.

  • There is no view on it. HBCU are open to all students however they remain predominantly attended by African Americans. Just like most Colleges and Universities are predominantly white but open to all student regardless of race.

  • That's idea but so-called black leaders continue to make it an issue...
